Instrumental Odour monitoring system
IOMS, as the name suggests, is an instrumental odor monitoring system that measures the odor concentration (ou/m³) and odour intensity in n – Butanol equivalent per European norms 13725. Our patented instrumental odour monitoring system developed following European odor monitoring norms provides the measurement of odour concentration (ou/m³) and odour intensity without requiring a human panel.
Why we need A-eNose
Generally, the odour is measured using a sophisticated analytical instrument named an olfactometer. The olfactometer requires a human panel for its operation that makes its usage difficult while measuring high concentration levels of obnoxious odours. Our innovative patented IOMS provides the solution to this problem. It bypasses the human panel for the measurement of odour while following EN 13725 norms for odour measurement. IOMS is a perfect option for continuous and rapid measurement of high odour levels at industrial sites and areas in the proximity of such industries and to understand the overall impact of the various odors. IOMS has been developed to measure high levels of odour concentrations >100 ou/m³, generally observed at process industrial sites

The electronic nose system is defined as “an instrument that comprises an array of electrochemical sensors with partial specificity and appropriate pattern recognition system, capable of recognizing simple or complex odours”.
It works on lines similar to that of a human nose, by using an array of sensors, AI, and ML data processing techniques. After sensing the aroma, the sensor array generates a pattern based on the type of aroma. Further, the patterns obtained are trained to interpret (using different techniques such as pattern recognition algorithms, principal component analysis, discriminant function analysis, cluster analysis, and artificial neural networks) and distinguish between various odours and odorants as well as to recognize new patterns.
